Orange Peel! This concert hall has it all!

Located in the heart of downtown Asheville NC The Orange Peel Social Aid and Pleasure Club is a performers favorite! From Bob Dylan to the Beastie Boys, Mike Gordon to Smashing Pumpkins, Ziggy Marley, Ween, Wilco and many other top acts line up to play this humble venue!!

Since it's opening the Orange Peel has been a refreshing addition to the Asheville music scene and has a reputation for being a serious spot for top of the line acts! With a capacity of just 1050 The Peel gives patrons an opportunity to get up close and personal with their favorite acts!!

The sound system at the Peel is legendary! Many fans that tour with their favorite band say bar none the show at The Orange Peel is the best around! They have also added a large lounge area called The Peel for smaller acts and a more intimate feel with the same amazing sound system.

The Orange Peel got it's start as a roller rink in the 1950's. The club then morphed into an R&B club which hosted The Commodores and The Bar Kays! Asheville fell into decline through the 80's and the Peel was no exception. It stood empty for quite sometime and was used briefly as an auto supply warehouse. Local hero and investor Julian Price and his public interest projects breathed new life into the Orange Peel in the 90's. The place has taken off since! The club was featured in USA today, Travel and Leisure Magazine and Rolling Stone Magazine.

The Orange Peel plays host to many local organizations and charities and also the annual Asheville Burlesque show!  They also host battle of the band nights to help local bands get the recognition they need and deserve! The Orange Peel and its newest addition Club Pulp will be rockin' with locals and tourists alike for many years to come! Cheers!
